Merchant Marine Academy

The United States Merchant Marine Academy is a federal service academy training leaders for the nation’s merchant fleet and Armed Forces through a rigorous academic program, Sea Year hands-on experience, and commissioning as licensed officers. Graduates earn a Bachelor of Science, a U.S. Coast Guard license, and an officer’s commission, preparing them to serve national security, maritime commerce, and the global transportation system with integrity and expertise.
