The Great Lakes Maritime Academy, Michigan’s state maritime college, trains students to become merchant marine officers and industry professionals through hands-on education aboard training ships and commercial vessels. Cadets gain real-world experience on the Great Lakes and oceans while completing rigorous academic and practical training.
